We tested our winter adventure van at -30C in Banff

Living in Canada we spend a decent amount of time outside in the cold. And so, when building vans, we really need them to be able to stand up to any temperatures and conditions the Great White North can throw at them. After all, when you’re camping out at -30 C or colder, to get those first powder runs or catch that morning sunrise, you want to be sure you’re going to have a warm and cozy nights sleep before that. And that you’re going to feel secure driving your home along some slick winter roads. We took out a van to test how it stood up to the winter weather in Banff, Alberta.

The route itself spans a huge variety of terrain, taking you through the lush rainforests of Vancouver and Squamish, mountain passes as you drive across the Duffey Lake Road, desert and grasslands through Lillooet and Lytton, and down through farmlands as you make your way through the lower mainland.

Whistler Camping; Where to Park your Van overnight in Whistler, BC

Whistler is known for being the ultimate outdoor getaway, and what better way to keep the outdoor adventures going than to spend the night parked up in a forest spot.

Unfortunately, sleeping in a vehicle overnight is not permitted in Whistler’s parking lots and roads, and there can be big fines if you are caught.
